Playing with Tombow Markers Junk Journal Tutorial!
About the Tombow Markers Video Tutorial
In this video tutorial we are playing with markers on watercolor painted cards in my altered book. It is all about getting in your creative space and picking up a marker. That is all you need to do today. You won’t want to miss it. Today we are talking about one of my favorite tools for junk journaling, which are markers. They are numerous types such as sharpies, crayons, and brush markers. One of my favorites is a Tombow brush marker. It is water based, meaning that water can be added to make the color “run,” leaving beautiful and unique patterns. You can add multiple colors over each other if you wish, and be amazed with what you can create!
The Tombow marker retails for about two dollars. It is double-sided with both a brush tip and a fine point. As you see in the video, I first simply make some random marks with the fine point side. Now watch the movement of colors after adding with brush a little water to it! The marker is great for drawing or accentuating any type of pattern. I also like to add a few words to my drawings to give it a little something extra. Next in today’s video you see a book that I am altering with the marker. I randomly draw over some wording, then again wet with a brush. Next I place one of the decorative cards on the page below it. The contrast of the black against bright colors produces a really nice contrast I think. As I hope you have learned once again with this tutorial, you have the ability to create something that is unique and special to be truly proud of!
May JOY be with YOU all!
