Do you Journal? Do you Bible Journal? Would you like to? for 40 Days we will be Bible Journaling
Junk Journal Style. It is called Book of Notes – Journal The Word!! Let’s uncover the divine mysteries of your most alive and spacious creative self as we create a journal for your sermon notes, Sunday school thoughts, or reflections about your Bible Study. This event will run from today through the Thursday before Easter or the Last Supper.
Do you Journal? Do you Bible Journal? Would you like to? I am excited to announce what we will be doing next! Our March into early April Theme will be called Book of Notes – Journal The Word!!
Do you Bible Journal?
All you will need to follow along is a notebook or sketchbook, or even notepaper or copy paper and a binder. I am going to make this super easy for you. Starting tonight, I will give you a Bible verse to read for the next day. We will be using the Gospels… mostly Matthew and Luke for the first few weeks and then we move into John as we grow closer to Easter.
In each day’s video, we will create a beautiful and simple background for our page. There will be plenty of room for journaling. If you don’t have time to create the background with me… not to worry. I will scan mine, create a Printable file that you can print and use as is.
The FREE Printable will have several elements:
- A phrase from the reading of the Day!
- There will be a background image that is kind of like a scrapbook paper. You can use it as a starting point for some of your art or use it as is.
- There will be at least one 3” X 4” Journaling Card for you to write your thoughts on and glue or fasten to your page. I will show you several options for this.
- There will be a few tags, embellishments, or stickers that you can cut out and use on your page if you like.
- Possibly other things as we move forward.
You can glue the background to your page and embellish it with colored pencils or markers. You can add doodles or sketches. You can glue the elements I give you. YOU can also do your own artful thing.
I hope you will enjoy painting with me or at least creating a junk journal page with the Printables! It is available by clicking HERE!
This will be YOUR journaling time.
Again, we will be using the 20 minute block of time. That should give you a good way to begin a Personal Daily Journaling Practice. And the 40 days before Easter is the perfect time to Journal The Word.
It is ALL about The Word and your thoughts as you read and reflect.
The printables will be on my website and I will give you a link on Cre8tiva’s FB page or you can go directly to RebeccaEParsons.com and click the Free Printables tab to find them by day.
I think this will work! It works in my mind for the moment. As we go along, things may adjust a bit, but there will be a video and a Printable every day for 40 days. That is my promise to you.
We are free to give thanks for the newness of life. We are all on a journey. God desires to help us to know Him intimately and assures us that we will not be alone. God has desires for us and we can find those desires in our own hearts! Journaling for over 35 years has helped me discover mine!
Again, I am beyond excited to create this Book of Notes with you as we Journal the Word for the next 40 days. Tomorrow begins our special time together with Matthew 25:31-46. If you would like to start your journey today, the reading is: Matthew 4:1-11
The more people who join in…the more fun and growth we will ALL have. If you know someone who might want to journal along with us … please invite them. See you in the studio tomorrow where I will show you some of my fave books for journaling and create the first of 40 journal page backgrounds.
May joy be with you all!
